I love you.
The collection of molecules I am took millennia to make me
but after all this time, almost all of time,
I am made.
My molecules will one day scatter,
the atoms will live on,
making forms innumerable.
I will cease,
the Sun will burn,
flinging the atoms that I once were
(that once were something else, will have been many somethings since)
and they will travel to and fro
to another universe they may go
building stars
or making eyes to gaze at them.
Feeling or inert they may be,
but this much is true,
they once were me
and they loved you too.
You changed me
which changed them.
That’s what love will do.
So wherever they are,
you’ll be too
and I’ll be there
loving you.

Thank you, Fae. I tend to be embarrassed of my poetry after I post it. This one I still like. 🙂
